Daedric Online is a hardcore Skyrim RP + survival MMO built to hold hundreds of players in one shared world — with custom professions, mastery, crafting, combat, dungeons, housing, and true 3D voice. It's in Open Alpha and open to everyone — no whitelist, no applications. Everything else, you earn.

Merit, not popularity

Your standing comes from what you do in the world — not who you know in Discord. No favoritism. No popularity contests. Everyone starts in the same rags.

Tangible goals, real gameplay

Every system gives you something concrete to work toward — professions to master, gear to forge, a home to claim. That tangible progress is what drives the roleplay.

Every system below is built for a shared, persistent, roleplay-first world.

Your Story Begins

  • Hold Spawn Picker — choose your starting hold from all 9 holds on a custom screen.
  • Equal Start — everyone begins the same: ragged clothes, a pickaxe, a woodcutter's axe, 50 gold, and food. No spells but your racial gifts.
  • Anonymity & Introductions — no floating names. You're a stranger until you choose to introduce yourself.
  • Persistent World — you always log back in exactly where you left.

Mastery & Progression

  • 3 Mastery Trees — Combat, Professions, Skills.
  • Pick 3, permanent (max 2 per tree) — every character is a true specialist, roughly 100 hours to master.
  • Grounded survival stats — health and stamina tuned for a dangerous world.

Professions & Gathering 9 paths

  • Miner — an ore-vein cracking minigame across 1,500+ nodes and 9 ore types.
  • Salt Deposits — worked with the same minigame; anyone can gather salt.
  • Charcoal Maker — a chopping minigame → firewood → 5 charcoal grades (required to smelt).
  • Blacksmith — a tier-gated forge; recipes reveal as you rank up.
  • Tailor — loom crafting with tiered patterns.
  • Alchemist — potion brewing.
  • Cook — food & buffs.
  • Scholar — a reading minigame; lore books & spell tomes.
  • Skinner — a carcass-butchering minigame.
  • Artifact Scavenger — salvage rare relics from chests & bosses.
  • Glowing Resource Nodes — veins and deposits softly glow by material so you can spot them.

Crafting & Loot Economy

  • Station-gated crafting — only smiths forge, tailors weave, cooks cook.
  • Tier-gated by material — dwarven, nordic, and stalhrim are master-only.
  • No loose loot in the world — everything is crafted, harvested, or taken.
  • Harvest Nodes — moon sugar, milk, beehives and more, on real cooldowns.

Combat & PvP

  • Rebalanced PvP with mastery-driven damage scaling.
  • Modded weapons & armor fully working in the combat system.
  • Robbery — hold up other players and take their goods.
  • Cuffing — guards can arrest and detain lawbreakers.
  • Corpse looting + gear breakage on death.

Dungeons & Loot

  • 150+ populated dungeons, 1,300+ live enemies.
  • Pre-solved traversal — no fiddly vanilla puzzle-gates blocking the way.
  • Lockpicking minigame on select locked chests.
  • Boss & mini-boss loot tables with rare sub-1% chase drops.
  • Loot-scaled restock cooldowns.

Player Housing

  • Claim & own homes, with Jarl and Steward roles.
  • Lockable storage chests — your stash stays yours.
  • Designate & assign properties in-game.

Social & Roleplay

  • Proximity Voice — true 3D positional voice with whisper / normal / yell range.
  • Party System — group up to 6 with green party nametags.
  • Player Trading — secure, Steam-style trade windows.
  • RP Chat — /me, /do, /ooc, whisper & shout, plus dice rolls (/roll).
  • Emote Wheel — hold Y for a wheel of RP animations.

A Living World

  • Hunger — eat or suffer the consequences.
  • Overworld Wildlife — huntable creatures with skinning.
  • Safe & Danger Zones with on-screen banners.

Guards & Moderation

  • Guard role & arrest system.
  • Ban system, moderation logs, and an in-game ticket system.

How to Join

    Own Skyrim Special Edition

    You need a legal copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on PC (Steam).

    Install Vortex

    Nexus Mods' free mod manager. It handles the whole modlist for you.

  3. 3

    Install the Daedric Online Collection

    Open our Collection in Vortex — it installs every required mod, in the right load order, with the right options, automatically.

    Link your Discord

    In the launcher, link your Discord account — every player is expected to play linked, so your character ties to the community and staff can reach you.

    Let it verify & sync

    The launcher checks your mods against the server build, hash-verifies everything, and syncs the server's client files for you.

  7. 7

    Press Play

    When the launcher reads ONLINE and everything's verified, hit Play — you'll load straight into the world and pick your starting hold.
